The Chapel in the Pines reflects the ecumenical Christian ethos of Camp Zimmerman, heralded by its Methodist and Moravian progenitors. It lies within the heart of Camp Zimmerman and features a lectern, altar-table, and pew benches. Near the entrance of the chapel starts the outdoor fifteen Stations of the Cross, which continue as one rises up the stairs and encircle the chapel, concluding at the fifteen station (the Resurrection of Jesus Christ), which is located underneath the altar cross that is suspended between two trees. The Stations of the Cross, ideal for use during the Christian liturgical season of Lent, were erected in 2016 by the Camp Management Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Camp Zimmerman Foundation, chaired by Dr. John A. Das and Br. Brennan M. Baker. The Stations of the Cross are dedicated in honor of the Christians in the Holy Land and enable believers here to join with them in spirit as they pray the very same devotion on the Via Dolorosa. Come and worship God amidst His beautiful creation in the Chapel of the Pines!
